ABOUTME

I am a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner, Registered Nurse and Trauma Researcher with a deep interest in nervous system healing and the emotional life. My work weaves together clinical experience, somatic wisdom, and embodied presence to support others in reconnecting with themselves.

I am passionate about human interactions and their affect. I am also interested in the quiet power of silence, self-discovery and self-care. In my private practice, I welcome people from all walks of Life, with a particular focus on supporting health professionals navigating burnout and compassionate fatigue. My aim is to help them restore confidence, regulation, and readiness to reengage with their work in their clinical areas from a place of renewed presence and aliveness.

What moves me

My world has always been shaped by creativity, intuition, and a deep curiosity about the transitional, liminal spaces of life. I’m a creative soul, drawn to the subtle textures of human interaction and the emotions that live beneath the surface. This calling led me to explore the neuro-affective pathways of the body, the ways in which we store memory, experience, and untold stories.

My Journey

Today, I am an embodied, trauma-informed practitioner and a multidisciplinary researcher dedicated to healing and well-being. Alongside my therapeutic work, I work as a Teaching Fellow and Early Career Researcher at the University of Edinburgh.

If I were to trace the arc of my professional journey, it would begin in the corridors of A&E in Italy, where I completed my nursing training in 2015. I still remember the intensity of those moments and how captivated I was by the space in-between bodies seeking care. Later, in 2020, while working in an ICU in Scotland, I began to notice something shift: my gaze narrowed, my shoulders curled inward. It was as if my body, after long hours at the bedside, had begun to cocoon itself. Instinctively seeking protection. In that awareness, I sensed both a rupture and a doorway to something new.

That threshold led me to pursue a PhD exploring what I care most deeply about: the intersection of nursing, emotion, and trauma. Alongside my academic work, I trained in Somatic Experiencing®, trauma healing, and nervous system regulation.

My Mission

My mission now is to support others in reconnecting with their inner resources, to help people not only survive but thrive through life’s challenges. I believe in the body’s wisdom, in the power of presence, and in the possibility of healing, even in the most complex of stories.
